In 2016, for the first time in history, a refugee team was set up to participate in the Olympic Games. I went to Kenya to document life of the refugees who were training in the outskirts of Nairobi. There was a group of 30 athletes, young men and women who came from different parts of east Africa and had one thing in common: they all had fled wars and violence in the country.
After 8 months of training in Kenya, 5 of them were selected to go to the Rio Olympic games. This is their story
