In May 2015, 50 000 people fled violence in Burundi, crossed the border to Tanzania and ended up stuck in Kangunga peninsula, in a tiny fisherman village between mountains and waters. The refugees were living in disastrous conditions, cholera spread everywhere and thousands of people were desperately trying to get on board an old ship to be safe.
It was chaos.
